Goodbye my friends!

It's time for our yearly trip to Switzerland! I'm beyond excited, even though I have to get up at 4.30 in the morning!!!

I won't be online often... if ever! Try not to miss me!

I'll leave you with a few pictures from our camping trip to Grover Hot Springs last weekend. More to come in August!

Love you all!

Our camping spot... lovely!

Another first...

Brian bought the girls their first little Swiss Army knives!! I don't know why this is a biggie for me. I can't remember when I got my first knife, but I do remember carving sticks at my grandma's house when I was Grace's age. Fond memories of long walks through the forest in search of the perfect stick... then spending hours carving my name and fancy designs into it. I survived, I didn't cut any of my fingers off and I never hurt any of my friends either :D! Then why am I so worried about my girlies? I really need to chill a little... I'm way too worried all the time.

Ok, they wanted to show off...

Erina loves the scissors...

... but is a little afraid of the knife part, isn't her face priceless? Oh, you better be careful with this sharp thingy!

They snipped and cut all kinds of stuff out in the marsh.

And you know the strangest thing we saw?? COWS! Out in the marsh!!! They are not supposed to be there... most likely a fence broke. I hope the farmer will be able to collect them all, they were all over the place!

Just a cute picture at the willow tree park

Aehms, I didn't let them hurt any trees. They just peeled the rind off that was almost ready to fall anyways.

Water Balloon Sling... oh my!

Last Friday was Dad's Day at school. It must be the kids very favorite day of the school year, seriously, it's so much fun for them. Dads come in for a few hours and do an activity, the fun part is, it does not have to be educational :-).

Brian teamed up with Gary and together they held on tight to a huge sling. And yes, the kids got to sling water balloons across the field. What a blast!

Julie and I filled close to 500 water balloons on Thursday afternoon. The kids helped and we all ended up wet and cold (dang Suisun wind). But it was all worth it (we moms thought it was kind of ironic, as usual we did most of the work and the guys got all the glory the next day...).

Anyways, I went to school that day with my camera... ready to snap lots of fun pics, BUT my battery was dead. Shows you how prepared I was, lol.

But luckily we had lots of water balloons left and we had our own sling fun the next day.

Pulling as hard as she can! Note Holly the dog next to Erina, she wanted to chase every balloon :D.

And off it goes! Love the look on the kids faces... and Holly ready to run.

Side view :D... I love this picture, sun glare and all.
Photobucket

Yeah, let's throw a balloon at mommy. SO NOT!
Photobucket

Another one I love. Grace and Christopher are goofing off (as usual... those two are like peas in a pod, it's funny what mischief they can get into together) while Erina is in awe of Brittney's shot.

Lastly the backview... pretty cool, he?
Photobucket

Here she was aiming at the lightpost and actually hit it!

Did I mention it was so much fun??? He, he, I just noticed that I used that word a lot in this post... but hey, it WAS! I can't help it, right? I just looked up synonyms for fun... so here you go, it was amusing, boisterous, convivial, enjoyable, entertaining, lively, merry and pleasant.

My favorite sport...

.... soooo NOT!

Grace played t-ball for the last two months twice a week and I was out there maybe five times. Pretty bad, he? I really think baseball is BORING. Just not my kind of sport. And to be honest, this was a great bonding opportunity for Grace & Brian :-).

I'll admit, I'm a tiny bit sad since this was her very last t-ball session. Next year she'll be too old and I don't think she wants to play little league (just too involved, we liked this easy-going no-score-keeping kind of program).

Ready to hit

Peace, Baby!!!

Ok, so Memorial Day weekend was pretty boring around here. By Monday the kids had cabin fever and were in need of some FUN. So I took them to the Marina and let them loose with chalk. They thought it was a blast, they felt like street artists. Apparently the theme was "Peace & Love" (and no, I didn't help).

Sidenote: I downloaded a trial version of photoshop elements 7 and I was playing around. After a while I couldn't tell if the pics look cool or not :D!

Oh, before the chalk fun started, I tried to get some pics... but gosh, the attitude!!!!
Photobucket

Ok, here we go... fun with chalk.

I love this one, can you see the chalk dust flying?
Photobucket

Peace & Love between the sisters too :-)
Photobucket

Love Grace's spelling mistake, she's still young enough for it to be cute, right?
Photobucket

They finished up with a parade of their own.

Peace, baby!

Then the dusty bunch had to take a bath :-).

Ahhhh... I'M NAKED!!! GO AWAY!!!!
